UFC 117: Silva vs Sonnen is set to explode. As you may know, Anderson Silva’s last fight with Demian Maia drew plenty of criticism in the MMA community. Even UFC President Dana White said it was the worst event he ever had in his career. Basically, Anderson Silva danced around, taunted, and called Maia names during the fight. Some might say this is because Anderson is not being challenged and is frustrated. However, the display proved to be hard to watch and was an ugly situation. Now enters challenger Chael Sonnen, a former politician who is sick of Anderson Silva and aims to expose him. Sonnen has started his anti-Anderson “Campaign” with a variety of trash talk and candid interviews. Sonnen even went as far as confronting Anderson at the UFC fan expo. This is all boiling up to the fight, and Sonnen promises that he wont let Anderson Silva clown around and will force him to fight. All the things that have happened definitely has the makings of a very exciting main event. Also on the card is Matt Hughes vs Ricardo Almeida, Junior Dos Santos vs Roy Nelson, Jon Fitch vs Thiago Alves, and Clay Guida vs Rafael Dos Anjos.
